Waffel, waffel, waffel...

Istedet for å fly direkte hjem fra Paris gikk turen videre med tog til Belgia og Brussel for en natt. Nede ved Grote Markt lukter det konstant belgisk waffel og restaurantene og sjokoladeutsalgene ligger tett som hagl.

Instead of flying directly back to Norway from Paris I took the train to Belgium and are staying in Brussels for one night. Down in the old parts of town like at Grote Markt there is a constant smell of Begium waffels in the air all the time. The.resturants and the chocolate shops are everywhere...

Tour rookie...

Som førstereisgutt i Tdf skal det innrømmes at jeg ble lurt av minst 3 stykker til å stå på sprint målstreken... jaja. Morsomt var det lell...

As tour-rookie I was tricked to stand at the sprint line instead of the finish line... by at least three people. Well it was still great fun!

Waiting, waiting....

Venting et kjedelig! Det er fortsatt mange timer til det begynner å skje noe... men jeg har hvertfall fått en ok plass 25 meter etter målgang. Tid til å blogge er det hvertfall nok av. Masse folk å se på, og står ved siden av noen dansker. Norske flagg overalt. Tips til de som vil se denne etappen en gang. Skal du ha de aller beste plassene må du være der rundt 9-10. Ellers er det god plass rundt traseen på Champs Elysees frem til kanskje kl 14... syklistene skal være i mål rundt kl 17. Se plassering lenger nede.

Waiting is boring! Still many hours before some action. I've got a good spot about 25 m after the finish line. Plenty of time to write on the blog. A lot of people watching... standing next to a couple of danish people. A lot of norwegian flags all over. Here are the tip if you're gonna watch this stage once. To get the best seats you'll have to be there around 9 or 10. If you're not that hung up in getting the best seats there is no need for coming before 14.00... still room at Champs Elysees then. The riders should cross the finish line around 17. See below for map where I've positioned myself.

Monaco

Det er morsomt med små land. Siden vi hadde leiebil tok vi turen fra Marseille til Monaco. Monaco er egentlig.bare en fjellskråning med masse rikfolk. Det var morsomt å se hvor trange gater man faktisk kjører Formel 1 løp i. Flyet går videre fra Barcelona i dag (nå er vi i Girona)... for Bjørnar er det hjem, mens jeg fortsetter turen til Paris for å få med meg siste etappe av Tdf. Heia Thor!

It's funny with small states. We have still the rental car and we visited Monaco yesterday. Monaco is nothing but a hill with a lot of people with too much money. It was nice to see the Formula 1 circut. We are in Girona now and are heading for Barca airport soon. Bjørnar is going home. I'm heading for Paris to see the last stage of tdf. Go Thor!

Toulouse or not to loose

Etter å ha sett en rå Thor Hushovd opp bakkene til Col du Tourmalet satte vi kursen mot Toulouse. To-stjernes hotell se ut til å funke fint :-)

After having seen a really fit Thor Hushovd climb the hill to Col Du Tourmalet, we headed for Toulouse. Two star hotell worked out really well! :)
